State Intelligence Branch The State Intelligence Branch (SIB) consists of a number of sections which provide SAPOL with specialist criminal intelligence services. These sections include: Intelligence Analysis SectionProvides the information and intelligence that sets the overall strategic intelligence requirements of SAPOL including the maintenance of a library of photographs for criminal identification. Operations Intelligence SectionProvides information and intelligence regarding illicit drugs and serious organised crime. Criminal Association SectionProvides the information and intelligence regarding criminal associations. BankSA Crime StoppersA crime reduction strategy that has established itself as the most successful crime stoppers program in Australia, with a strike rate of one apprehension for every six calls to the toll free number. The unit provides a facility for members of the public to make anonymous reports about active criminals and to receive a monetary reward based on police results.
