Elizabeth Local Service Area

The Elizabeth LSA provides a policing response to the Salisbury and Playford Council areas and comprises of 2 major patrol bases located at Elizabeth and Salisbury, as well as a shopfront station at Blakeview. The LSA covers some 483 square kilometres with the population of an estimated 207,000 residents. The population is expected to increase substantially over the next 30 years with staged land releases for domestic and business purposes.

The headquarters of the Elizabeth LSA is located at the Elizabeth Police Station, 17-19 Frobisher Road, Elizabeth. Services provided from this station include Criminal Justice, Crime Scene, Planning, Intelligence, Traffic and CIB. The Elizabeth Crime Prevention Section is situated at the Salisbury Police Station, 24 Mary St, Salisbury.

There is a diverse range of industry throughout the LSA, from major manufacturing such as Holdens to the rapidly expanding RAAF/Army Base at Edinburgh and the Defence Science and Technology Organisation. The LSA is home to interstate freight railyards and major transport hubs.  In addition to this, the LSA has diverse cultures, many of whom work or are associated with the market garden areas around Virginia.

The LSA is currently taking part in the Neighbourhood Policing Team trials where assigned officers work in partnership with the community and government agencies to improve the quality of life for everyone and deliver outcomes which improve community confidence. The Neighbourhood Policing Team is currently active in the suburbs of Davoren Park, Smithfield, Smithfield Plains and Munno Para, Munno Para West and Munno Para Downs.
