Home Assist Scheme The South Australia Police (SAPOL) Home Assist Scheme is funded by Home and Community Care (HACC) which is a partnership between the Commonwealth Government, State Government, Local Councils, SAPOL and other participating health services. The aim of the scheme is to improve home and personal safety, allow people to remain in their own homes and to provide a better quality of life. This scheme is only available for people who are HACC eligible. To meet the criteria you must:
The Police Service provides:Free Security Audits - A police coordinator will visit you at home. You will be provided with a written document highlighting safety and security issues. The police officer will provide you with the contact details for the Home Assist representative within your local council. You may also receive assistance to implement police suggestions. Free Group Presentations - These are available to groups of 15 people or more. The 3 presentations are: Home and Personal Safety - This talk provides home security and safety tips.
