Failing to pay for petrol is a crime. Customer Service Attendants have a very important role in reducing this crime, by following the five steps of "Stay ALERT" listed below. A poster is also available to download to the right of this page.

Aware:	Be aware of what is happening on the driveway, such as people using outside pumps when others are free.
Line of Sight:	Keep the line of sight across the driveway clear.
Eye contact:	Try to make eye contact with customers before authorising the pump.
Registration Number:	Write down registration numbers of vehicles and cross them off when the customer pays.
Telephone:	Call the police on 131 444 immediately when a drive-off occurs. Complete all sections of the petrol drive-off form and refer to the reporting instructions if you're not sure.
