Holiday Safety

The South Australia Police work in partnership with the community to prevent crime and reduce the fear of crime, thereby 'Keeping SA Safe'.

South Australians enjoy a safe and friendly environment but locals and tourist alike can play a role in preventing crime.

Like all cities around the world there are some basic safety tips to help you and your families stay safe:

  • Whilst staying at a hotel, motel or caravan park always keep your door locked and place valuables in a secure place out of sight;
  • If you sense danger you are encouraged to leave immediately and go to a place where you feel safe;
  • Lock your vehicle when it's unattended and wind up all the windows;
  • Remove all valuables from your vehicle if you can't conceal them.

The Personal Safety and Home Security booklets provide additional information to help make your stay in South Australia trouble-free and memorable. Have an enjoyable stay.

If you have any information about criminals and their illegal activities telephone BankSA Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or send information online at www.sa.crimestoppers.com.au.
